Join the fight to keep public lands in public hands

The upside to the public-lands-takeover movement? It has created a rallying cry for public lands supporters. Instead of gaining control of public lands as seizure proponents had hoped, their efforts have created a nationwide, unified front against public lands takeover.

NWF, its affiliates, and citizens throughout the nation have defeated seizure bill after seizure bill over the last several years in state legislatures across the country.  We worked to help pass pro-public lands bills in Colorado and New Mexico in 2016, with Colorado now standing as the first state in the nation to celebrate an annual statewide Public Lands Day. We turned out thousands of people to rallies throughout the West opposing public lands seizure.  We have garnered the attention of thousands of news outlets across the country.

Americans have spoken loud and clear – public lands are a great American treasure and we’re keeping them!  Your help is needed as we continue the fight to keep public lands in public hands.
